Hi, I am a multi award winning Australian contemporary artist, with collections in Australia, New Zealand, USA and UK.

I work mostly in acrylic and mixed media.

I’m known for my whimsical, bright, boat and fish compositions, I create images with successive layers of mixed media with an interest in spontaneity. My colourful works are expressive and dramatic with an emphasis on the energy of the painter’s mark. I find the artistic process exciting as it opens the gates for happy accidents that extend beyond just the materials.

I also investigate themes of the Australian Outback as they relate to rural life and an ever changing environment. Works such as the “Flooded Plains” series, with imagery composed of dots, colours, line work and abstract patterning, yield a complex ancient journey.

I like to explore life on and under the water.

I am also the author of a series of ‘How Did You Paint That? art instruction books which are available from amazon.com and which can also be ordered from all bookshops.
